TEAM PORPOISE!
Team Porpoise! Filmmaker Lisa Strong, NWF California Director Beth Pratt, and Golden Gate Cetacean Research scientist Bill Keener.
To welcome the porpoise back to the San Francisco Bay, we filmed a fun video of NWF’s California Director running around San Francisco in a porpoise costume. You can view the porpoise sitting in Ferlinghetti’s chair at City Lights Bookstore, shopping at Berkeley Bowl, riding a cable car, dancing on the ferry to Alcatraz and in many more familiar spots.
Filmmaker Lisa Strong donated a large amount of time to this project and even wrote the porpoise theme song, “Back in the Bay.” The talented rapper A-1 lent his voice for accompaniment and donated the studio time to record the song. Alyson Lee, our fabulous designer, did an amazing job on the logo.
Our special thanks to the following people, organizations and businesses who made the video possible by not thinking we were crazy when we asked if we could stop by their location with a porpoise in tow!
